世界衛(wèi)生組織最近創(chuàng)造了“信息流行病（infodemic）”一詞，指在疾病流行期間信息過(guò)載，且良莠不齊。例如，有關(guān)艾滋病的錯(cuò)誤信息流傳了很多年；西非埃博拉疫情爆發(fā)時(shí)缺乏可靠證據(jù)、決策能力差；以及對(duì)于COVID-19的預(yù)防行為、口罩的使用和疫苗問(wèn)題也有很多猶豫不決的爭(zhēng)論。
在第75屆聯(lián)合國(guó)大會(huì)之際，洛克菲勒基金會(huì)-波士頓大學(xué)健康決定因素，數(shù)據(jù)和決策委員會(huì)（3-D委員會(huì)）希望與大家討論以下問(wèn)題：決策者面對(duì)質(zhì)量較差、不足或過(guò)量的數(shù)據(jù)，如何做出有利于大眾福祉的決定？在以數(shù)據(jù)為依據(jù)的流行病防控決策過(guò)程中，有哪些重要的經(jīng)驗(yàn)教訓(xùn)？
